EL ARENAL, MARBELLA
El Arenal is a residential complex comprising bungalows and villas. It is well located being within 40 minutes drive of Malaga Airport and about one hour from Gibraltar Airport. It is just five minutes drive from the old town of Marbella and close enough to Puerto Banus for that occasional adventure and the high life. Situated within two minutes walk of one of the best beaches on this Coast, El Arenal also has its own swimming pool with showers and changing rooms.
The surrounding area boasts the highest concentration of golf courses in Spain, watersports abound and, just to make you feel doubly secure, one of the best hospitals in Spain, The Costa del Sol.
The nearest supermarket is at El Rosario, about 10 minutes walk or five minutes drive but there is a small shop nearer which sells English papers, bread, milk etc. There is a Restaurant and a pub that does bar snacks, next to the shop. The out of town shopping Centre, La Canada, is about 10 minutes drive away and Puerto Banus for the highlife, about 15.
Looking at beach activities there are many bars and restaurants in that area. A little way up the beach to the left there are a beach games and a bit further on, jet skis and water skiing.
For the golfers there are many courses in the area including Rio Real, Santa Clara and Los Monteros. There is a regular bus service along the N340 (A7) and taxis are a viable alternative.
