VILLACANA RESORT - ESTEPONA, COSTA DEL SOL
Villacana is a long established and extremely well managed development mid-way between San Pedro and Estepona on the beach "Playa de la Cancelada". Malaga and Gibraltar airports are both within one hours drive away. A walk to the beach from the furthest point of the Resort would take less than five minutes so all is within easy reach whatever property you choose.
The number of repeat visits is testimony to the spell cast by this Resort - it is truly a venue from which there is no need to stray. For those of you yet to sample it's magic here are a few of the services offered which make it such a good place to be:
- Reception is open seven days a week. The services offered include fax, payphone, messaging and internet connection. Diego and Antonio man the desk and can reserve a table for you at your favourite restaurant or book a taxi or a tour. A small charge is made for the phone calls. They also have extensive knowledge of the Coast and can advise you on where to go and what to see. There is also a library of good readable books in Reception and luggage trolleys just outside the main door.
- There is one large main pool separated from the beach by extensive sun-bathing lawns and a small shallow paddling pool for those not quite up to the sea and the main pools. There are three smaller pools scattered throughout the Resort.
- In the main pool area is the Beach bar, The Barraka and there is a poolside bar called the Aztec. On the first floor level is the 90 Miles, a music bar which has live music most days. Also on the first floor is the newly opened Upper Deck run by James who runs Sharkeys next door at the Playas del Sol.
- Just behind the Upper Deck is the hair-dressing and beauty parlour run by Jude and from the same entrance there is access to the launderette. Tokens can be purchased from Reception.
- Villacana Resort has 24 hour security and there is ample car parking.
- Adjoining the Resort is Villacana Club and their tennis, squash and gymnasium facilities can be used for a small charge. They also have the Rincon de Villacana Restaurant which can also be used.
- There are other beach bars along the beach and water sports in the summer months.
- Last, and by no means least, is Gregorios Restaurant which is by the main entrance to the car park.
If all of the above is not enough the village of Cancelada is within walking distance to add to the culinary delights!
Accommodation ranges from 1 - 4 bedroomed properties. High season rates to include utilities start at £350.00p.w. for the smaller, one bedroomed properties rising to £990.00 for the larger four bedroomed house.
